Bryrup Camping is certified as a sustainable campsite

Achieving the recognized "Greenstay Denmark" is very big and important to us, as we place enormous importance on navigating responsibly in relation to the climate in everything we do.

We all have a responsibility for our climate, and when you holiday at Bryrup Camping, you help make a difference.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Greenstay is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From these, five goals have been selected – the ones where campsites can make the greatest positive impact. These are:

• Clean Water and Sanitation
• Affordable and Clean Energy
• Responsible Consumption and Production
• Climate Action
• Life on Land

Below, we briefly describe some of the initiatives that demonstrate how we support these five goals and positively contribute to reducing Bryrup Camping’s environmental impact in a responsible way.

What makes Bryrup Camping more sustainable?

Here you can see a selection of the initiatives Bryrup Camping implements to reduce negative climate impact — making your holiday with us more sustainable.

• Large solar panel system (installed in 2021) producing approx. one-third of the campsite’s total electricity consumption.
• We use only eco-certified cleaning products.
• Water-saving showers, taps and toilets.
• Waste sorting throughout the campsite.
• Focus on sustainable products in our shop and café. Since 2022, we no longer sell bottled drinking water; instead, guests can fill cold drinking water from a dispenser in the reception.
• We choose organic products whenever possible.
• The slopes around our terraces are dedicated to biodiversity.
• We use only eco-certified methods when maintaining the campsite and common areas.
• LED lighting in all lamps, controlled by timers and dusk sensors.
