The discipline has gained popularity in Finland and Sweden and is now also popular in Denmark - not least at campsites, where children can let their imaginations run wild.
At Bryrup Camping we have built a brand new horse jumping course where children and young people can jump, play and compete in a safe and creative way. The course is designed to strengthen motor skills, balance and playfulness – in the middle of Denmark's most beautiful nature.
How horse jumping works – rules and framework
Our show jumping course is open to all camping guests and is divided into different levels, so both beginners and experienced riders can join in. Here are the most important rules:

Bring your own horse – or borrow one from the kiosk.

Jump over the obstacles without tearing them down.

Guide the horse correctly between the legs all the way.

Style and safety count! Jump with energy and control.

Play KUBB at Bryrup Camping – classic Viking game for the whole family
Experience our new KUBB course at Bryrup Camping – a fun and tactical garden game for the whole family. Also known as Viking game or King's game, KUBB is the perfect activity for a camping holiday in Denmark.
KUBB originates from Sweden and is said to be an old Viking game, where the goal is to knock over the opponent's wooden blocks and eventually the king in the middle. The game combines precision, strategy and cooperation – and fits perfectly with the campsite's green surroundings and relaxed atmosphere.
What is KUBB? – An introduction to the king game
KUBB, also called the king's game or Viking game, is a popular outdoor game played with wooden blocks and throwing sticks. The game can be played by children and adults together and is suitable for both small teams and larger families. It requires no prior experience and is quick to learn – but hard to master!
How to play KUBB – rules in a nutshell
Our KUBB court is located on a grassy area and has tiles for placing kubbs and kings – ready for all guests to use. The rules are simple:

Two teams line up at opposite ends of the field.

The goal is to knock over the opponent's blocks (wooden blocks) by throwing wooden sticks at them.

When all of the opponent's cubes have been knocked over, the team must try to knock over the king in the middle – but be careful: if you knock over the king too early, you lose the game!

The game can last anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes – and is perfect for both fun and friendly competition.
At the court you will find a brief instruction, and the game can be borrowed at reception.
KUBB – pleasant activity on the camping holiday
KUBB is a hit among families with children, grandparents and groups of friends. It is an ideal free activity at the campsite, where you can be active, laugh and compete without screens. The game requires cooperation, patience and a little luck – and creates memories for the whole family.
